A hardcover ledger with "Record" stamped on the front. The pages contain accounting of costs and sales made by the Fairview Cheese Company (later known as the Fairview Cheese Manufacturing Company). The first entry was made by company owners H. C. Campbell, Rufus Mallory, and C. F. Swigert on July 1, 1901. Entries date from July 1901 to December 1903.

Inside cover has pasted copy of the committees for the farmers' banquet. There are five inserts: 2 page brief story of Oregon; one page excerpts from speech given by Burton Walrad; Bankruptcy notice to creditors of Victor J. Johnson dated May 6, 1936; personal note written on the back of a counter check from the bank of Oregon; spare slip of paper with J. H. Hartag signature in black ink with some printing.

Five slips of paper: three 3.5" X 2.5" craft paper perforated across the tops as of torn from a roll of adding machine tape and two 2.5" X 11" printed ticket invitations to a musical presentation by Mrs. Mark (Ada) Nickerson and Florence Honey, Friday September 23rd, 1927, 8:30 pm, at the Studio First State Bank building. The tickets and paper slips were used by Florence Honey to keep weekly accounts for November (presumably 1927) and January and February (presumably 1928). Expenditures are listed in detail, and include money spent on haircuts, symphony appearances, a teapot, lunch with Ada Nickerson and her children, and a $15 hat.

This yearbook has names and photos of the staff and faculty. It also includes full photos of each class and teacher, as well as their names, from first grade to eighth grade. Eighth grade class photos are in color. There are also photos of the first day of school, fairs, various students around campus, students playing marbles, class picnics, rallies, basketball and football games, sports teams, school bands, and the safety patrol. The yearbook has a navy blue cover with gold lettering on the bottom right which reads "Scrap book." There are also gold line decorations. It is secured with two rings. There are three class photos with no name labels, and several pages have torn or missing photos.

A photo of the Gresham High School Band in 1952. Director Harold Weber is seated behind the drum in the center of the photo. The band members are in full uniform, some holding wind instruments. The girl on the far right is holding a cymbal. The group is standing in front of and on top of a stage-type structure, festooned with bunting. The band's drum majorette is standing next to Mr. Weber, who is wearing her tall, fur hat. Back of photo notes: "Harald [sic] Webber and his Gresham Band, 1952."

Bill of lading to T.E. (Talbert) Lusted from the Steamship Ajax in Portland, June 23, 1875. The bill is for a single package of 32 feet (likely sq. ft.) at a total cost of $27.10 including $0.50 for storage. Signed by Weidler. Letterhead includes a line illustration of the steamer.

Under the title "Gold Star Boys" two pages of Gresham High students who died in World War II and the Korean War. The typewritten list includes the class year, date of death, and location of death. There are 38 names on the list. Several corrections have been made to the list in pen.

Trifold brochure for the 1992 Children's Week oriented around the 10th Annual Teddy Bear Parade on Saturday, September 26. Vendors around Gresham hosted various activities and things like free popcorn at the Glass Butterfly, free balloons, "autographs" from Clifford the Big Red Dog, a puppet theater performance at the Gresham High Auditorium, and more. The week also featured an announcement of a youth mayor and city councilors. The brochure has a list of sponsors, a map, and event calendar.

A membership card for Mardella Geisler of West Gresham Grade School from the Multnomah County Safety Patrol - Uniform Division (the division was entirely made up of students). The card was issued January 14, 1953, and is signed by Multnomah County Sheriff Terry Schrunk and Safety Officer Ralph Kennedy, and stamped by Principal Dexter McCarty.

An honorable discharge certificate from Oregon National Guard issued to Sergeant Albert R. Heiney on November 3, 1912. Discharge was due to expiration of a one year term. On the back of the certificate is Heiney's record of service, which at that time went from 1896-1898, 1905-1912. A note on the back from Heiney's commanding officer, Captain Clarence [last name unclear] says "this man has been a most exemplary soldier his entire term of service."

A Certificate of Incorporation from the Oregon Department of Commerce for Gresham Jaycees, Inc. The certificate is dated September 2, 1986.

Consists of two items: A) A lilac envelope addressed to Mr. Frank Rogers of Gresham. There is no mailing address included, so the envelope was meant to be hand-delivered. B) A lilac-colored invitation to a Junior banquet for the Senior Class taking place on June 1st, 1915, at 8 pm.

Black-and-white portrait photo of Robert L. Jennings, a uniformed man with a slanted helmet. Inscribed on the back: "Robert L. Jennings"; "To Mom and Dad, With love, from Your Son, Bob", and a glued-on newspaper article ("Greshamite Killed In Hawaii Attack", reads the headline of the piece, which goes on to discuss Private Jennings' death.)

Two war ration books issued to Galen Calvin Fancher and his wife Mildred Viola Fancher in 1942. The books consist of an outer folder and two "books" pieces of paper folded in four to form a book. There are four ration stamps left in each of the books. Galen Calvin Fancher's book also has 4 stamps in it that could be used to purchase food worth eight "points" each - likely canned fruit. Each book has notes recording the purchase of 15 pounds of a rationed good in August 1942 and August 1943.

A Mileage Ration Identification Folder issued to Galen Calvin Fancher in Gresham on October 1st, 1944. The folder identifies Fancher's car, a 1940 Chevrolet, as a vehicle eligible for gas rations from October 1st through December 31st, 1944.

A Certificate of Improvement awarded to Mary Lou Chastain on May 15, 1934 for "Improvement in the Palmer Method of Business Writing" from the A.N. Palmer Company. The certificate was issued in Portland, and is signed by the "Board of Awards": S. W. Palmer, C. J. Newcomb, and A.A. Davis. There were two small round metal lapel pins attached to the certificate that have been removed for preservation.

A certificate appointing R.L. Fanning to the Multnomah County Tax Supervising and Conservation Commission for a 4 year term, signed by governor Paul Patterson and secretary of state Earl T. Newbry on December 20th, 1955.

Photograph of the Walter Balmer Dairy Barn, taken between 1927 and 1933. The barn was located at the intersection of Stark and Kane in Gresham, across from what is now Mt. Hood Community College. The Balmer family owned 80 cows, and delivered milk and cream to Gresham, Troutdale and Montevilla areas. When the Great Depression made it difficult or impossible for people to pay their bills, Walter Balmer had to give up the dairy, instead raising feed for the cattle across the road.

Two paper tickets from football game between Gresham Union High School and Molalla Union High School, September 19, 1941. The tickets stapled to a half sheet of paper with a typed description. Description reads that this was the first football game under the lights, and was the dedication of new lights and stands and new Stapleton Field. Description includes "Guy Mathews, Captain of first Gresham High School football team in 1908, Mr. T.C. Andersen, Mr. W.C. Lawrence, Chairman of Board, spoke briefly. Receipts this night, $177.70"

A circular vinyl/magnetic City of Gresham car decal. The decal features Mt. Hood, a lake with a reflection of Mt. Hood, forest and blue sky in the center. "City of Gresham 1905" is in green lettering on the outer side of the decal, with three ripe strawberries on either side of "1905."

A World War I "War Savings Certificate" - a war bonds booklet issued January 2, 1918. The booklet is registered to Earnest C. Petite of Yamhill, Oregon. There is room for 20 war savings certificate stamps to be fixed in the booklet. No stamps are affixed.

A Multnomah County Fair Stock Certificate issued to M.H. Wheeler on December 9, 1912. Shares sold for $5 each, Wheeler purchased one. Listed as certificate issuance no. 76. The certificate is signed by a president Lewis, no first name given.

Two items: A) Certificate of ten shares of capital stock in the Grange Fair Association issued to J. M. Short. $5.00 per share. The certificate is signed by the President of the Association, H. C. Davis. B) Envelope from the Office of the Secretary of Multnomah County Fair, August 20-26, 1951.

Large certificate printed on heavy white paper with elaborate lithographed border incorporating the goddesses Ceres (grain) and Pomona (fruit) with Flora (flowers) in the center; agricultural products such as cotton, corn, grapes, and wheat; and acanthus leaves. B is a program for the May 29, 1957 graduation exercises for the 8th grade class of Gresham Grade School. The program lists the graduates, the staff, and teachers along with the schedule of the event. C is the program for the 56th commencement exercises for Gresham Union High School held in the auditorium of the high school on June 8, 1961. Program includes a list of graduates, teachers and staff along with the schedule for the event.

Two separate funeral programs for two brothers: John Skarek, March 8, 1876 to June 11, 1953 and William Skarek November 11, 1886 to June 17, 1953. Both memorial services were conducted at Carroll Funeral Home in Gresham, officiated by Reverend F. Cannell, and accompanied by soloist William Elliot. Both brothers were interred at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Gresham. The Lord's Prayer is printed in both programs. On the back of William's program are handwritten notes by Agatha Hart, his sister.

Consists of 2 items: 1) A 1955 letter from 8th grade teachers - Greta Brumage, Jeanne Doty, William Jackson - asking for assistance with the 8th grade end of year presentation on the history of Gresham. 2) A reply from Burton Walrad, typed on Walrad Insurance Agency letterhead, describing the organization of Gresham's Chamber of Commerce, its purpose, and preceding similar organizations.

Photograph of a man standing at the western gate of the Willamette Valley & Cascade Mountain Wagon Road, a toll road, next to a board with the toll prices. The road, also known as the Santiam Wagon Road, ran from Albany to Ontario, and at the time of its construction in 1865 was the only reliable wagon road across the Cascade Range. It remained a main route for travel east and west in Oregon until the construction of the McKenzie and Santiam Highways in the 1920s, despite poor construction and limited usability during bad weather. The poor condition of the road, especially in the eastern section, became the focus of a federal congressional fraud investigation into the Willamette Valley and Cascade Mountain Wagon-Road Company, which had received over 400,000 acres of land via land grants on the premise that it had constructed and maintained a usable road across the state. The western tollgate was located east of Sweet Home, on John Gilliland's claim - Gilliland served as the gatekeeper until 1880, when the gate was relocated to Lower Soda Falls, also east of Sweet Home.
