Girls' blue blended cotton twill athletic jersey for Pleasant Valley Elementary School. Shirt buttons down center front; turn-down collar lined with goldenrod binding tape; raglan cap sleeves also edged with gold binding. Text "Pleasant | Valley" embroidered in yellow cursive text on PL front; self patch pocket with single button flap on PR front. Large gold numeral "7" appliqued to CB. Woven label at interior CB with text "ATHLETIC | SUPPLY" and "Tackle Twill | REG. U.S. PAT. OFF. | WATER REPELLENT | RAYON AND COTTON | FABRIC BY | Skinners"; tags also have illustration of red star with blue wings and two football players.

This jersey was in use at Pleasant Valley in the mid-1900s, at a time when the grades were 1st through 8th and elementary schools had their own school-sponsored sports teams that competed against each other. Girls' sports were very limited, with volleyball sometimes the only option.
