Dahlquist's Orchestra, led by Charlie Dahlquist, was the house band for Springer's Dance Hall (later Springer's Ballroom) in Pleasant Valley, a small community southwest of Gresham. The band was seven pieces at the time of this concert and specialized in the latest popular dance music. It featured Dahlquist on violin and his spouse Grace Dahlquist on piano.
This poster was donated by Jay Lehr. His father, Gordon Lehr, was a Gresham volunteer firefighter in the 1960s and joined the paid Gresham Fire Department when it was first formed. He likely acquired this poster though the fire department, although it predates his involvement significantly. - Type
