Fitted knee-length women's coat. Coat is deep fuchsia wool with silver fox fur trim lining the bottom (approximately 12"). Long sleeves have wide (2") cuff. Placket has visible and not visible fasteners with multiple methods of closing and displaying, with a large red tie encircling the waist. Inner black label has silver Fromm logo embossed and "Fromm "Bright with Silver" Pedigree F 4704" in silver thread.

Belonged to Margaret Johnson (1913-1996), a teacher who spent her career in Rockwood schools. She purchased this coat from Ungar's, a women's fur fashion store that was located in Portland from 1934 to 1966 when owner Nicholas Ungar sold it to Nordstrom's.
After retiring, Margaret Johnson became a regular Gresham Historical Society volunteer until her death in 1996. - Type
