Lovica Tuttle Lusted (1849-1928) was born in Ohio and moved to Oregon in 1875, settling with her husband Talbert Lusted in an area of East Multnomah County that is now called Lusted. They are buried in the Pleasant Home Cemetery. Talbert died in 1892, leaving Lovica widowed. She moved to a home on East Powell in Gresham with her daughter Inez in about 1904, where she lived until her death on February 28, 1928.
Oregon women won the right to vote in the 1912 general election, making Lovica among the first women in the state to register to vote (Abigail Scott Duniway, the first woman to register to vote in Multnomah County, did so on February 14, 1913).
