- Provenance
- First name unknown. This woman's husband, W. R. Burke, was an early jeweler in Gresham. He bought out F.W. Fieldhouse, Gresham's first jeweler, in 1912. He and his wife had previously lived in Clatskanie, where he was mayor before they moved to Gresham in 1912. From 1917 to 1918, he served on the Gresham City Council. The Burkes lived in Gresham for around 20 years before moving to Berkeley, CA.
