- William Harvey "Harve" Metzger was the son of Samuel Metzger and the cousin of Henry and John H. Metzger. Arrived in Gresham area 1878. Harve Metzger, was a blacksmith and worked for C. C. Miller who had his shop on Powell Road where the 1960s Gresham city hall stood. He later turned to building and lived in Gresham until 1940.
