- Provenance
- Original may still belong to Schedeen family. Ed Aylsworth started a clothing store on Main St. in 1909. He was sole proprietor until 1923 when he took a partner, Ray Martin. Aylsworth later left the business to farm in the Terry/Twelve Mile area. This photo is likely from that farm. Aylsworth then went on to form a business partnership with his brother-in-law George Page to operate the 12 Mile Store, which Page had purchased from George Kinney in 1919. In 1932 Aylsworth became sole proprietor and in 1938 he leased the business to Carl Zimmerman, who later purchased the business. Zimmerman went on to make the 12 Mile Store into a successful supermarket.
