- Provenance
- Donated by Betty Chisum in 2001. The matchbook was made by the Monarch Match Company in San Jose, California. The Mallard Restaurant was opened in October 1954 at 218 N. Main Street by Gresham resident Tom Morgan Sr and his son Tom Morgan Jr. Morgan Jr later purchased the restaurant from his father, and sold it to Portlander Bert Ratzlaw in 1967. GHS volunteer Mike Andrews recalled it closing in the 1970s.
