- Believed to be from a 1986 donation by Burton and LaVerne Walrad. Burton Walrad was an early Gresham resident, owner of the Gresham Transfer Company and Walrad Insurance Agency, and a founding member and first president of the Gresham Chamber of Commerce. The teachers taught at East Gresham Grade School (now East Gresham Elementary School), which had classes through 8th grade at the time. Jeanne Doty would go on to become the principal of Dexter McCarty Middle School in Gresham.
