- Provenance
- Found in collections. John F. Roberts was an early settler in Gresham; his parents arrived in Oregon in 1852, and he purchased the land on which he built the house in 1868. He built a log cabin on the property that same year - it is believed to have been incorporated into the larger house that now sits on the land, making it the oldest recorded home in Gresham. The house and property remained in the Roberts (later Hodges and Powers) family for many generations. As of 2017 the house has fallen into disrepair, and much of the original detail and siding has been covered up or lost.
